Branding the Future of TV
So in a moment of creative abandon I entered this competition on my fave site for ‘getting hold’ of guilty Televisual pleasures like Screenwipe, IT Crowd and (shh) Top Gear to design a new logo for their new 2.0 site. It was up against some good stuff too; I wasn’t too worried by some of the homemade Comic Sans offerings but wasn’t too confident when I saw the quality of some of the entries on their messageboard.
But I won! They liked it so much they are already using it on the site (and are sending me a mug sporting the winning entry into the bargain). This makes me happy for three reasons:
One: I haven’t won a competition based on skill since a colouring compo in the Hartlepool Mail when I was eight, wherein I won a Briton’s Farm set, complete with working Bailer and Archimides screw.
Two: It’s a genuine honour to give a little back to such a good site
Three: My clients never send me mugs. :)
